The Moon Lists – Leigh Patterson
This product is currently sold out.
Moon Lists is a guided journal structured around the phases of the moon. It provides a place to note feelings of gratitude and moments of mindfulness while celebrating the turn of the seasons.
Loosely organized around the phases of the moon and punctuated with references to ’70s astrology, architecture, and art, Moon Lists encourages journalers to stop and reflect on the precious moments in their lives before time passes them by. A set of evolving monthly writing prompts and suggestions for physical activities can be completed individually or with a partner, and will offer readers some perspective on the present and their recent past. .
The Moon Lists =
1. An online collection of interviews; every full moon we ask different women to reflect on their last 30 days.
2. An analog workbook; prompts, lists, and unexpected questions for digging deeper.
3. A visual exercise in recognizing the themes that are hidden in plain sight.
4. Inspired by a life of questioning; a dedication to what’s below the surface.
5. One step in a direction of exploring parts of the mind + present tense that are new, unknown, and full of possibility.
Leigh Patterson is a freelance writer and creative director whose work has helped elevate lifestyle brands and publications across print and digital media. She has worked with a range of design-focused publications. Her personal project, Moon Lists, launched in 2016.
«A couple years ago I became interested in a new idea after reading an interview with photographer Sam Abell. Abell, a celebrated National Geographic photographer with a 35-year career, now lives in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. In the interview, he mentions a personal project called The Moon List.
In his words: "Every full moon, my wife and I construct something we call the Moon List — about 25 questions that have evolved over 10 years or so to reconstruct the past 30 days since the last full moon." I wrote to Abell, requesting to see the other questions on his list...and for permission to recreate his idea through the perspectives of different contributors.»

THOUGHTS BEHIND THE MAGAZINE
As the name already indicates, the Moon Lists are related to the natural cycle of the moon and offer an opportunity for weekly and monthly Self-Reflection. It is a different, very valuable approach to Self Reflection that deeply inspires us. It is a very aesthetically designed book, calming the senses and perfectly structured to work with. As every other item, it greatly enriches our product collection and we are happy to share it with you.
